Insult drummer Steve Grice
Steve Grice, drummer of British metal band INSULT publishes a biography about himself.

Steve Grice uses:

Sonor Drums
Paiste Cymbals
Collision Drumsticks

Born in Bristol, England, I grew up in the immediate area of 3 out of the 5 Insult bands members and also attended the same secondary school with the same 3. I started playing the drums at the age of 12yrs but never had one drum lesson. I formed a small local band called “Disarmed” with 3 good school mates but didn’t record any material or indeed play any gigs, apart from one small local house party where we all got pissed.

I was one of 2 founding members of Punk/Metal band Onslaught formed in the 80’s and went on to record and play on 5 studio albums and 1 live album. I also jointly formed a band called The Sanity Days alongside Jase Stallard, Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper, Onslaught) and went onto release a one-off album.

I’ve been lucky enough to have played gigs in some pretty exciting places including Japan, twice and South America, twice mixed in with many festivals all over the world alongside some pretty cool names. I guess my favourite time had to be 3 weeks out in Europe on tour with Motorhead, fantastic memories.

If the truth be known I’m no great fan of recording but love to get out and play live. See you on the road soon.
